Use the Mixbook app exclusive feature **Memories** that pre-sorts your uploaded photos based on location!  Select the memory you want to use > select the desired photos from that memory (or select all) & click "next"> select your template & a pop up window will appear> "How do you want to start your book?" > click "auto-create" for your completed book! Follow steps 4-6 and you're done! ## How to use Auto-Create Every photo book project follows the same basic steps, but Auto-Create transforms many of those steps into a single click with instant results.  Here’s how to use it: ### On Desktop ### **Step 1: Pick a theme and start a book project** Browse the hundreds of theme options, whether it’s a [birthday book](https://www.mixbook.com/birthday-photo-books), [wedding album](https://www.mixbook.com/wedding-photo-books), [baby book](https://www.mixbook.com/baby-photo-books), or [everyday](https://www.mixbook.com/everyday-photo-books) photo book. Choose a theme, select the orientation (select the icon for square, landscape, or portrait), and click **“Start Book.”** The new project will open in the Mixbook Studio™. ### **Step 2: Add photos to the project** Upload the photos you want to include in your project. In the **“Photos”** panel to the left of the screen, upload photos directly from your Mixbook photos, from your phone or other device, or from a connected app such as Facebook or Google Photos. If you already have uploaded photos you want to use, go to "photos" and click "add from uploads". From there, select all of the photos you want included in your new book.  **Note:** Please review the number of pages and photo boxes in your selected theme before moving on. If needed, add or remove pages and/or photo boxes to match the number of photos you're selecting. Auto Create will only use the photos you've selected, so if too few photos are chosen, some pages may be left blank, and if too many photos are chosen without enough pages or photo boxes, the extras won't be placed. ### **Step 3: “Auto-Create”** **For desktop, mobile & tablet users:**  Locate the Auto-Create button **(book icon)** Click the button and confirm “Let’s do it” on the pop-up window. **For The Mixbook App users:**  If you're selecting photos from **Albums or Memorie**s, skip ahead to the **"next step for all users"**. If you're selecting from All Uploaded photos, continue below. Click on any blank photo box in your book until the **(+)** icon appears, then click it. Your photos will appear at the bottom of the screen — from there, locate and click the **Auto-Create** button (book icon). **Next step for all users:**  A new window will appear asking, “How would you like to apply selected photos?”  Choose “add to new pages” (if you’re adding photos to a book with work already in progress) or “re-create book” to fill the entire book according to its theme. You can also select "include the front cover" to have auto create applied to your cover or leave the box unchecked if you'd prefer to personally design your cover.  Click **“Apply,”** and within seconds, your completed photo book will appear. ### **Step 4: Review the project** Scroll through the pages of the photo book designed by Auto-Create. You’ll see that at least 90% of the work is done, but you can still customize it in any way you desire. Review any text elements of the book. Auto-Create will keep a theme’s placeholder text, so be sure to click and edit any titles, captions e.t.c. ### Step 5: Customize your photo book Every customization tool in the Mixbook Studio™ is available to use after Auto-Create has worked its magic! ### **Step 6: Preview and order** A combination of Auto-Create and your own customizations should result in a photo book that you love. When your project is complete, click “Preview” for a final review of the pages and spreads. Check for any typos, blank pages, misplaced elements, or other issues. Fix them if necessary. When you’re ready to order your book, click “Order.” Check for any warnings at the top of the page, and select your preferred [book size, cover, and paper type](https://www.mixbook.com/inspiration/photo-book-options). Complete the order – and that’s it! ### On Mixbook App #### “Auto-create” feature helps you jumpstart your book. To use this, go to **“Photos**” and tap on the **“bo****ok icon"** at the **top-right corner** of the photo tray. #### You can either 1. **“Add to new pages”** if you already have pages designed and just want to **a****dd more pages using the remaining photos** or; 2. **“Re-create book”** if you want to **fully recreate** the entire project.
